New Year

Hello everyone. The wind is really whipping outside this morning.

This coming Sunday, I will be preaching at Word Fellowship in Old Forge, Pennsylvania. For the last few years, Pastor Larry Magor has invited me to begin the New Year by sharing with his congregation. Please pray that what I share will be encouragement to those who attend as we prepare for all that 2010 has to offer.

Another year is ready to roll in. We are 10 years into the new millennium. Can you remember 10 years ago when so many people were worked up about Y2K? It just goes to prove that Jesus is still in control of our lives and the universe as a whole. That should be an encouragement to us who have placed our faith in Him. No matter who is governing or what the circumstances, Jesus is still King of Kings and Lord of Lords. I'm glad that my life is in His hands.

Merry Christmas

Christmas...a season of blessings and wonder. Christmas...the day we use to celebrate the birth of Jesus. This year, my Christmas message was entitled "The Gift of Giving." I have tried to implement that philosophy as I've journeyed through this month...to be a giver just as God the Father so lovingly gave His Son Jesus to the world. And so at this moment, I give to all of you my joyful appreciation for standing once again with me and my ministry in prayer and support. May each of you know the boundless blessings of our Savior as we celebrate His birth.

On Sunday, I will once again be ministering at the Assembly of God in Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania. The other week, their pastor, Rev. Rick Womer, asked if I would fill in for him while he and his family visited with his daughter's family down in Tennessee.

Tiny Tim had it right. God bless us, every one!

To Tunkhannock

Good morning. Can you say windy and cold? Winter is here.

This coming Sunday, I will be ministering a Christmas sermon at the Tunkhannock Assembly of God in Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania. I enjoy sharing the Christmas message for it is a timeless message of the gift and the grace of Jesus.

My home church is a wonderful place. I've been enjoying the Christmas season while visiting with several families and peoples from my home church. Several have had me over for supper (yeah...I hate to cook!) and the other night a few of the ladies and I went driving around to watch Christmas lights. (I got car sick...) Everyone needs a local church, a local body to belong to. I hope that you have strong connections with your local church.

December Preaching

Good morning everyone. It is a cold, brisk December morning outside. My cheeks were cold as I took a walk this morning.

This coming Wednesday night, I will be preaching at Crossroads Assembly of God in Moscow, Pennsylvania and on Sunday, I will be preaching at my home church, the Green Ridge Assembly of God. Please pray that as I minister, the Lord will use my words to bring encouragement and a challenge to those who hear.

Christmas is about Jesus. I want to remind all of you of that sentiment as we enter into this Christmas season. On Black Friday, I saw shopping carts filled to overflowing in the stores. The television advertisements entice us to spend more, yet true fulfillment is not found in more presents. True fulfillment is found only in Jesus. Enjoy this season and enjoy the reason for it...JESUS!
