Going South

Good evening everyone. I just got my grass cut before it started to rain. Whew....

This coming Friday through Sunday morning, I will be ministering at Evangel Assembly of God in Aberdeen, Maryland and on Sunday night at Calvary Assembly of God in Wilmington, Delaware. Please pray that the Lord will minister and move in these two churches. I find I need God's grace more than ever and I desire His Word to transform lives.

Just finished reading the Book of Judges today. There's a statement in the book that is mentioned several times, "everyone did what was right in his own eyes". Doesn't that sound like the world's thinking of today. Everyone does whatever they wish and there's quote "nothing wrong with anything" as long as they feel it's okay. I'd much rather do what is right in the Lord's eyes. Justifying ourselves is the wrong way. True justification comes from knowing Jesus.

Riding Out To New York

Good evening everyone. Sorry this is so late...it's been one of those weeks.

Tomorrow, I will be leaving for Ossining, New York where I will minister on Sunday at the Gospel Assembly, where Rev. Jerry Arduini serves as pastor. Please pray that the Lord will once again come and grace us with His power and presence. That's really all that matters. That's really what I want to see.

About two weeks ago, I planted some new grass seed. Diligently, I would water the grass seed every morning and night. For days, I looked at this spot on my yard and thought that the grass would never grow. I almost thought I would have to start all over again. Then a few days ago, there is was...little shoots of grass coming out of the ground. The barren patch is starting to overgrow with green color. Perhaps that sometimes describes our lives. We all have barren patches...times where we wonder if God is doing anything in our lives. We pray and read the Bible and yet things seem useless. Then one day, we see the growth. The barren patch in our life is suddenly over grown with the love, mercy and tender grace of our Savior. The message is simple....keep watering and feeding your soul with the things of God. Even when it seems like nothing is happening, God is working in our lives to bring growth and maturity. He is an awesome and loving Lord.

Preaching In The Country

Good morning everyone. Hope you are enjoying the beautiful weather that has been around.

This coming Saturday and Sunday, I will be ministering at Emmanuel Assembly of God in Renovo, Pennsylvania. This church is way out....I mean way out in the country. Please pray that my sermons would be a blessing to this congregation and that the Lord will touch hearts to be more like Him.

I just started reading through the Book of Job. There is a man who knew that no matter what came his way, the Lord is to be praised. At times, that may seem hard, especially if you are going through a difficult period in life. Remember that our situations may change, but Jesus remains the same. He is always there, always good and always worthy. My spirit needs to be reminded of that message today.

Yes, I Believe

Good morning everyone. It is a glorious, sunny day here in northeastern Pennsylvania. The weather for this Easter weekend couldn't be better.

This morning, I read the last 4 chapters from the Book of Mark which share the story of the death and resurrection of Jesus our Lord. The thing that so stuck out in my mind was how many times unbelief entered the story line. The chief priests mocked Jesus in Mark 15:32, where they said, "Let the Christ, the King of Israel, descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe." After Jesus rose from the dead and spoke to Mary Magdalene, she informs the others that Jesus is alive, but Mark 16:11 tells us, "And when they heard that He was alive and had been seen by her, they did not believe." Jesus appears to two other disciples in Mark 16:12, but when they told of their divine appointment with Jesus, the Bible says "they did not believe them either." Finally, Jesus appears to his eleven disciples in Mark 16:14 and "He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart."

I choose to believe in Jesus Christ! I choose to believe that He died, rose again and lives forevermore. I choose to believe in His miracles and that He alone can forgive mankind's sin. I choose to believe that He is our hope and strength in time of need. I choose to do this because the Bible is true and I have personally felt His touch in my own life. Each day, He brings new mercies my way and gives me reason to live. I know who this Jesus is for I have witnessed His transforming power in so many lives. Jesus is not buried in a tomb...no...rather He now sits in heaven at the right hand of God. But more importantly, He lives in the hearts of those who choose to believe in Him. I choose to believe in this Jesus to be my personal Lord and Savior and because of that, I have joy that cannot be contained. :-)

Let me encourage each of you to choose wisely. Have a blessed and happy Easter.
