Good morning everyone. The calendar may say fall but summer is definitely fighting to hold on for a few more days.
This coming Sunday through Wednesday, I will be ministering at First Assembly of God in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania...yes, the home of the famous Pennsylvania Groundhog. Pastor Chris Golembiowski has opened his pulpit to me several times and I look forward to once again returning to preach the Word of God. Please pray that the Lord will do wonderful things, miraculous things in our midst! What a mighty God we serve!
I am reading through the Book of John. In chapter 10, the Bible speaks about Jesus being the Good Shepherd. Notice those two words, "Good" and "Shepherd". First, Jesus is good. There is nothing bad in Him. He longs to give His children good things in this life. Next, Jesus is our shepherd. He is not a hireling. He does not run when the wolves of this world try to destroy us, rather He stays right by our side to protect us. At times, He must gently tap us on the head with His staff to get us going in the right direction. I am grateful that Jesus is our Good Shepherd. Sheep are stupid. We need someone like Jesus to lead us on.
Stay in the fold, my friends!
